PNAM AWARDED FUNDING FROM TB ELIMINATION ALLIANCE MINI-GRANT PROGRAM

June 11, 2021

PNAM is one of the recipients of the 2nd TB Elimination Alliance Mini-Grant Program to increase awareness and/or build provider capacity for testing and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection and tuberculosis (LTBI/TB) in Asian/Asian American (A/AA) and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NH/PI) communities. With the award, PNAM will offer training to clinical and non-clinical staff on testing and treating LTBI/TB in Michigan, increase awareness of the recommended shorter treatment regimen of LTBI, and develop culturally and linguistically appropriate educational materials that address misperceptions, decrease stigma, promote testing and treatment of LTBI/TB. These educational materials will be disseminated through various communication outlets. Mr. Kino Anuddin, a clinical educator and an Executive Board Member of PNAM, will be the Project Director during this 1-year grant program.

If you have any questions or interested in participating in the program, you may contact the project director at RNkino@gmail.com. Training dates will be forthcoming, please visit our website https://www.pnamichigan.org for announcements.
