COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
HEALTH PROMOTION PROGRAMS

Health and Wellness Fairs at the Philippine American Cultural Center of Michigan (PACCM).

Healthy Eating Workshops for Older Adults and Diabetes Prevention Programs in partnership with Asian Center of Southeast Michigan.

Breast Cancer Awareness for Filipino Women in the Philippines in partnership with the Philippine-American Medical Mission Foundation of Michigan (PMMFM).

Vaccination education and clinics (Influenza and COVID) offered to various community groups in collaboration with the Eastern Michigan University Center for Health Disparities Innovation Studies (EMU-CHDIS).

Annual participation in the "Active People, Healthy Warren" 5K Run/2K Run at Shaw Park in the City of Warren. A partnership between FILAMCCO, PNAM, NaFFAA-MI, and CHDIS.

Active participation in the Kabalikat Emotional Wellness Program, a peer-to-peer support group for Filipino-American nurses, facilitated by the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA).

Raising Awareness about Tuberculosis and Latent Tuberculosis Infection (TB/LTBI) among Asian-Americans living in Michigan. Subgrant awarded by the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organization (AAPCHO).

Volunteer hours at the World Medical Relief Center, MI.

Annual volunteer service at St. Hugo Thanksgiving Mass celebration.

Spiritual support through healing prayers for the sick and repose of souls of the departed family, friends, or members of PNAM.
CULTURAL EXCHANGE AND CELEBRATION

PNAM participates at the Annual Kalayaan Celebration in partnership with other member organizations of the Filipino-American Community Council of Michigan (Filamcco).

Annual Participation in the Sterling Heights Cultural Exchange at the Sterling Heights Senior Center.

Annual Rizal Day celebration.
PANDEMIC RESPONSE

Handed over face masks and sanitizers from APIA Organizations to Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, MI.

Turned over donations from Gosioco Family to the Ostea Vent Foundation.

Conducted Prayer Novena for the sick members and their families.

Handed over face shields and visors from PNAA donor to Maple Manor Rehab in Novi, MI.

Raised funds to purchase and deliver meals for healthcare worker heroes.

Conducted multiple COVID-19 vaccination clinics to various community groups and events. The 2-year vaccination campaign was supported through a grant from the CDC Foundation.

Developed vaccine educational resources and provided awareness sessions focused on Filipinos and other Asian, Asian Americans, Pacific Islander communities.
