PNAM ONE OF THE RECIPIENTS OF THE CDC FOUNDATION CBO VACCINATION COVERAGE

June 29, 2021

The Philippine Nurses Association of Michigan (PNAM) is one of the recipients of the cooperative agreement with the CDC Foundation Community-Based Organization Coverage. The aim of the cooperative agreement is to support community organizations in increasing vaccination coverage across different racial and ethnic adult populations currently experiencing disparities. PNAM is awarded $100K for one-year to work with younger Filipino and Southeast Indians living in Michigan to 1) train them as trusted messengers and 2) increase uptake among these groups on COVID-19 and flu vaccinations. PNAM President Reglita Laput is the Project Director. The main team is comprised of Ms. Sofy Bole (Implementation Coordinator), Mr. Kino Anuddin (Communication Lead), and Ms. Marissa Radowick (Finance Officer). Dr. Meriam Caboral-Stevens will serve as Consultant to Reglita and the team in this project. Dates for training and additional project activities will be forthcoming.

If you are interested in being trained as a trusted messenger, please feel free to contact Ms. Laput at: inday_laput@yahoo.com or pnamichigan2020@gmail.com.
